ECIs JJP employs a holistic approach, by providing legal representation to children who are in multiple systems including the criminal justice system, disparate educational systems, the mental health system, and foster care system. Most of our clients come into the juvenile court system for incidents occurring at school. This program also oversees the ECI Clean Slate Cooperative which clears criminal records so individuals can obtain employment, housing and other life needs.

It is the vision of the collaborative that Houston-area public school systems prioritize building and sustaining safe, supportive, and equitable school climates so all students can learn, graduate, and live up to their full potential.
