Counseling for Families and Battered Women: Domestic violence is major contributor to homelessness in Dallas County. With domestic violence incidents on the rise, women and children fleeing abuse often find themselves homeless and unprepared for self-sufficiency. The Metro Dallas points out that women and children who are homeless due to domestic violence are in immediate danger from their abusers and have unique emotional and safety needs that must be addressed by specialized residential programs. Project United assists these families with transitional housing; and we have counselors for their emotional needs.
Department of Education: Child Education - programs for out of school tutoring, mentoring and counseling.
