Throughout CCA's tenure, organized committees have been able to advocate for their rights to safe healthy living environments and with CCA's help have been able to rehabilitate hundreds of substandard housing units throughout the region. In time, CCA has incorporated two additional programs to its services that focus on Health and Youth. In the early 2000's, with the encouragement of The California Endowment (the state's largest health foundation), CCA added its Promotores Comunitarios health advocacy program. This program focuses on providing and teaching preventative health strategies to individuals and families who have low health literacy and are uninformed/underserved, and develops community health advocates, Promotores de Salud, to serve as health care access points and liaisons within their families and communities. CCA's most recent program addition has been its youth program, Youth4Change. This program was launched in 2017 and focuses on youth leadership development, civic engagement and higher education attainment.
