CASA OF MONTEREY COUNTY RECRUITS, TRAIN, AND SUPPORTS COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERS WHO ADVOCATE FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH IN FOSTER CARE AND THE JUVENILE JUSTICE SYSTEM. IN FY 24-25 WE SERVED A TOTAL OF 174 CHILDREN AND YOUTH ACROSS THE COUNTY. WE ALSO TRAINED 35 NEW VOLUNTEERS AND SUPERVISED AND SUPPORTED 192 VOLUNTEERS DURING THIS TIME PERIOD. In 2025, we significantly expanded our advocacy to support youth involved in juvenile justice and truancy, partnering closely with the Probation Department to create more coordinated interventions. Our outreach efforts increased visibility across the county through radio, TV, and in-person events, while deepening engagement and building stronger connections with communities in South County. These efforts have helped raise awareness, strengthen local networks, and create more opportunities for youth to access the support they need.
