In 2023, the Partnership for Housing Affordability was successful in significantly bolstering its focus and impact on housing policy and education. PHA Developed its first ever regonal policy agenda, hired its first policy director, and contracted with a public relations firm to enhance our messaging in the community. Additionally, the organization underwent a rebrand and new website development. PHA also began what will be a 3-year research project on the preservation of Black wealth in the region. All of these accomplishments were supported by historic funding for our policy and education work.
PHA's Housing Resource Line responded to more than 6,300 calls, resulting in 5,927 referrals, and $300,000 in financial assistance provided to local residents for housing needs.
