Continued serving seniors through multiple activities, with significantly more services and programs opening up throughout 2024. We served more than 4,880 hot meals at the Center and delivered more than 3,891 hot meals to the homebound. We enriched and engaged with the senior community by offering 20+ in-person activities and programs every week including classes; presentations about multiple topics including local history, end of life planning, arts and culture, elder law and other issues affecting seniors. We added Seattle Theatre Group's Dance for Parkinson's classes and continued Spinal Mobility, Zumba, Tai Chi, and other wellness programs including blood pressure checks. Senior Center Village volunteers gave over 400 off-island rides to medical appointments and provided over 100 other services to help seniors live independently at home. All together nearly 200 volunteers contributed 8,000+ hours delivering lunches, making salads and hosting programs and classes.
