THE PINK BOOTS SOCIETY IS FOCUSED ON THE ADVANCEMENT OF WOMEN AND NON-BINARY INDIVIDUALS IN THE FERMENTED/ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE INDUSTRY THROUGH EDUCATION. OUR SCHOLARSHIPS ARE MADE POSSIBLE WITH INDUSTRY SUPPORT FROM BREWERIES, HOP SUPPLIERS, MALTSTERS, AFFILIATE BUSINESSES, AND GENEROUS DONORS. WE PARTNER WITH ACCREDITED UNIVERSITIES AND REPUTABLE ONLINE PROGRAMS SUCH AS OREGON STATE UNIVERSITY, UC DAVIS, CICERONE BEER SAVVY AND SIEBEL INSTITUTE. OUR SCHOLARSHIPS AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING REFLECT A WIDE ARRAY OF PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT TOPICS; BREWING TECHNIQUES, SENSORY EVALUATION, FERMENTATION SCIENCE, BREWERY BUILDOUT, MARKETING, AND THE BUSINESS OF CRAFT BEER, AMONG OTHERS. UPON COMPLETION OF THEIR COURSEWORK, SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS BECOME AMBASSADORS FOR PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION, AN INCREASED ASSET TO THEIR COMPANY, AND MENTORS FOR FELLOW PINK BOOTS MEMBERS. IN ADDITION, PINK BOOTS CONTINUES THE RIPPLE EFFECT OF COMMUNITY EDUCATION BY REQUIRING EACH SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT TO "PAY-IT-FORWARD" BY TEACHING WHAT THEY LEARNED TO THEIR CHAPTER, COMPANY, OR COMMUNITY AT LARGE. WE PROVIDE COMMUNITY SUPPORT FOR OVER 1800 MEMBERS AROUND THE WORLD. WE PROVIDE EDUCATION RESOURCES ONLINE, DEVELOP NEW SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES AND ASSIST OUR GROWING NUMBER OF CHAPTERS WITH REGIONAL EDUCATION AND PROGRAMMING.
