The Sunrise Side Lifelong Learning members took seven local day trips. They experienced a wagon ride pulled by the Glenview Clydesdales. In Harrisville, they explored the Institute of Cultural Learning which is like a Smithsonian Museum in our own backyard. They hiked the meadows, ponds and woods of the For-Mar Preserve and Arboretum. They tripped down memory lane with a Simon and Garfunkel Tribute after eating a famous Zehnder's chicken dinner. Old friendships were rekindled on a river cruise on the Au Sable River Queen paddlewheel riverboat. A trip to Mio included a Fall color tour, the Lady of the Woods Shrine and the Amish Farmers' Creamery. After seeing a rare collection of antique automated musical instruments at the Music House Museum, the group stopped at Chateau Chantel for wine tasting. The year ended with the Broadway Musical She Loves Me.
