DIRECT SERVICES / OUTREACH / EMERGENCY SHELTERThe majority of those served by SAFE were served via our crisis hotline, and we responded to a total of 479 requests for service on our hotline this year. Callers on the hotline were provided with access to SAFE's emergency shelter, supported with legal advocacy and provided with information about community resources. For those reaching out to SAFE for support over this year, housing remained the most requested type of assistance. SAFE provided a total of 3,837 nights of emergency shelter for 56 adults and 41 children during this year. Those residing in the emergency shelter were typically fleeing domestic or sexual violence, and the availability of emergency shelter meant that these families did not have to make the choice between remaining in an unsafe home or facing homelessness.

TRANSITIONAL HOUSING / RAPID REHOUSING SAFE also continued to provide transitional housing for families for up to two years and communitybased rental assistance for individuals and families fleeing domestic violence. Our transitional housing program provided safe housing for thirteen families, including 26 children and our rapid-rehousing program provided rental support for 21 adults and 27 children this year. These programs offer families safe and affordable housing while families transition from an unsafe home toward a selfdirected future free of violence. As a result of living in safe, affordable housing, families were able to focus on healing from trauma and securing resources necessary to live lives that are self-directed and violence-free.
