THE ORGANIZATION RAISES FUNDS TO SUPPORT THE LOCAL/COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY. THE LIBRARY'S PRIMARY FUNDING/OPERATING EXPENSES SOURCE IS FROM THE COUNTY AND CITY GOVERNMENTS. THE ORGANIZATION HAS APPROXIMATELY 360 MEMBERS (FRIENDS) THAT CONTRIBUTE ANNUALLY THROUGH MEMBERSHIP DUES. THE ORGANZIATION ALSO HOLDS SEVERAL FUNDRAISERS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR INCLUDING USED BOOK SALES AND A FUNDRASING DINNER. FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY PARTICIPATES IN PARK COUNTY'S GIVE-A-HOOT CAMPAIGN WHICH HELPS TO BRING IN ADDITIONAL DONATIONS. FUNDS RAISED ARE USED TO SUPPORT LIBRARY PROGRAMS, PURCHASE BOOKS, MAGAZINES, MEDIA, SUPPORT A BOOKMOBILE WHICH TRAVELS TO REMOTE AREAS OF THE COUNTY, AND FUND NEW TECHNICAL EQUIPMENT, SOFTWARE UPGRADES, AND REPLACEMENTS.
