In 2025 we had two major areas of focus. The first was educating the public on the continued underfunding of California public schools as well the threat of money being lost from the federal government. We organized dozens of actions with college students and our members at farmers markets, street fairs, college campuses and other public places to raise awareness about how California has deprioritized education funding in order to build public support for future policy work to increase funding for schools. The second, was expanding our recruitment efforts at multiple campuses across the bay area to increase the diversity of our college internship program. We also enhanced the number and quality of the workshops and training modules that we offer our interns as well as diversified the types of opportunities our students receive to practice the organizing skills we teach them such as knocking on doors, small business outreach and public speaking.
