The organization worked on the following programs and initiatives during 2019. 1) Membership on committees and workgroups established by regulatory agencies to bring the perspective of consumers to the design of health care initiatives, 2) created and led medicaird collaborative to evaluate changes to Maryland's Medicaid program, 3) analyzed the proposed rates for 2020 in the individual insurance market and provided testimony to the Maryland Insurance Administration, 4) promoted health literacy and consumer engagement to state agencies, 5) distributed educational materials to partner organizations and the public regarding Maryland's health care reform initiatives, 6) participated in events and made presentations to bring a consumer perspective to health care discussions, and 7) provided a consumer voice to the regulatory agencies that design Maryland's all-payer model and primary care model.
