Replates 2024 programs contributed to a meaningful advancement of our mission. Replate invested in scaling our food recovery impacts to support more than 170 business locations to donate food to communities experiencing food insecurity. We operated in 11 states across the country and our primary markets remain as the Bay Area, NYC, and Los Angeles. Replates food recovery efforts generated notable impact: Replate enabled our average food donor to prevent on average 20% of food surplus through source reduction. Of the remaining surplus, nearly 535,983 pounds of food were recovered rather than being sent to the landfill. This resulted in over 446,000 high quality meals being delivered to communities experiencing food insecurity during 2024. Through these efforts, Replate saved more than 140 million gallons of water and diverted over 549 tons of CO2 emissions. Replates expansion efforts included expanding to serve national accounts, educating CA-based stakeholders on SB1383, and developing our operational model and tech platform to formalize partner-based food rescue collaborations.
