IN 2023, TECH:NYC SUPPORTED THE NEW YORK TECH ECOSYSTEM THROUGH RESEARCH, PROGRAMMING, AND ADVOCACY, WHILE SIMULTANEOUSLY WORKING WITH STAKEHOLDERS TO ENSURE TECH CONTINUED TO GIVE BACK TO NEW YORK. IN 2023, TECH:NYC HOSTED MORE THAN 75 EVENTS, CONVENING THE CITY'S TOP TECH LEADERS, EMERGING STARTUP FOUNDERS, AND OUR DEEP ROLODEX OF GOVERNMENT AND CIVIC PARTNERS. IN THE AUTUMN OF 2023, TECH:NYC HELPED TO SUPPORT NEW YORK TECH WEEK THROUGH OVER A DOZEN EVENTS AND ACTIVATIONS, INCLUDING THE LAUNCH OF FOUNDER HOUSE.TECH:NYC DELIVERED OFFICIAL TESTIMONY ON A WIDE RANGE OF ISSUES, INCLUDING: E-BIKE SAFETY; AI IN PUBLIC EDUCATION; EV INFRASTRUCTURE; CRYPTOCURRENCY REGULATION; RIDESHARE PRICING; FACIAL RECOGNITION; AND CONGESTION PRICING. TECH:NYC OFFERED GOVERNMENT LEADERS MEMOS ON SEVERAL TOPICS, INCLUDING: DATA PRIVACY & CHILD DATA PRIVACY; PUBLIC BROADBAND AND 5G; HOME SHARING AND FOOD DELIVERY PLATFORMS, INCREASING ACCESS TO TECH JOBS; AUTONOMOUS VEHICLES; LAW ENFORCEMENT USE OF PERSONAL DATA; AND BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGIES.TECH:NYC CO-PUBLISHED ORIGINAL REPORTS LOOKING AT NEW YORK'S GLOBAL POSITIONING, AS WELL AS HIRING AND TALENT TRENDS. IN ADDITION, TECH:NYC LAUNCHED A NYC TECH JOBS BOARD IN 2023 TO HELP TRACK HIRING ACROSS THE ECOSYSTEM. IN 2023 TECH:NYC LAUNCHED A PARTNERSHIP WITH NYC PUBLIC SCHOOLS VIA FUTURE READY WORKING WITH MORE THAN 30 HIGH SCHOOLS TO REACH APPROXIMATELY 5,000 STUDENTS. TECH:NYC ALSO CONTINUED ITS INVOLVEMENT IN THE NYC COMPUTER SCIENCE OPPORTUNITY FAIR, WHICH BROUGH TOGETHER OVER 2,000 STUDENTS FROM 60+ SCHOOLS ALONGSIDE TECH COMPANIES.
