The DreamGirls Initiative has an afterschool program called DreamGirls in Action. This program was also suitable for virtual programming to be used during the coronavirus pandemic. Each module begins with a 20 minute video interview with a female STEM professional, which highlights the company she works for, what her job is, and what type of education she has. The video is followed by a one-hour STEM activity directly related to the job the participants heard about.
Dream Day workshops are in-person events for up to 150 middle school girls. Six role models from different corporations speak about their STEM careers and the science involved in what they do.
