St. Charles Aquatics (SCA) provides a comprehensive swim and waterpolo instruction program to enable athletes to participate in competitive aquatic events. Currently SCA serves over 262 swimmers, 265 swim lesson students, 6 water polo players, and 42 divers. In addition to the competitive aquatics program, lessons are offered year round. Athletes must "try out" for the competitive program. Those who are not admitted to the competition teams are refered to the lesson program. On average per week, 12 hours are devoted to swim lessons, 20 hours to swim team training, 2 hours to waterpolo instruction, and 10 hours to diving instruction. 8 special needs athletes from the community are served through the swim lesson program and 3 special needs athletes are on the swim team. SCA donates time and coaching one evening per week to coach and instruct the local special needs recreational swim team.

St. Charles Aquatics (SCA) competes in both swim meets and waterpolo meets. During 2025, SCA hosted five multi-day/multi-session, large, invitational-style meets plus four one-day/single session, smaller, dual-style meets. The larger meets served 600 athletes per meet. Smaller meets served under 55 athletes per meet. Volunteers are responsible for running the meets and volunteering at meets is a requirement for membership. The large meets required 250 volunteers, not including officials, who are also volunteers. Total volunteer hours for each large meet was approximately 700-1200 hours. By participating in meets, the athletes learn the value of hard work and develop sportsmanship skills.
