We designed scientific research projects, collected and analyzed scientific data and provided results, inferences, and management recommendations to improve the conservation of wolverine, Cascade red fox and Canada lynx populations on state and federal lands in Washington. Our program supported state and federal agency mandates and scientific inquiry, and promoted the protection and recovery of 3 Species of Greatest Conservation Concern in Washington for the greater public good and directly benefited 100 community scientists who participated in our research projects. Our program also engaged the public by providing outreach and presentations on carnivore conservation issues in mountain ecosystems and carnivore coexistence in the West, directly benefiting 165 community members. Our program supported wildlife conservation and management decisions through research and collaboration with various stakeholders for the greater public good.
