Through our Homelessness Prevention and Housing Stabilization program, Greater Portland Family Promisehelps families who are experiencing homelessness, at risk of losing their housing, or facing eviction. GPFP provides families with case management, financial assistance, food and basic needs, transportation, and housing navigation. To further strengthen the relationship between families and our community, GPFP matches families with congregations and volunteers who provide the families with connection, comradery, and basic needs support. In 2023 we served 65 families through our homelessness prevention and housing stabilization services, including 27 families who received shelter in our emergency shelter and/or transitional housing sites.
