This non-profit was established in April of 2016 to provide a dedicated platform for a VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) Program that had been operating as a program under another non-profit since 2006. Since 2006 and as of Tax Season 2025, our VITA Program has prepared 65,675 federal and state tax returns for Hawaii residents saving them approximately $16.4 Million in tax preparation fees and helping them claim $138.8 Million in refunds and refundable tax credits. Program service expenses listed include only direct program expenses and not general expenses for the organization such as insurance costs, fees or bookkeeping software.
