The Friends of Recreation is dedicated to supporting early childhood development through access to quality educational and recreational programs. In alignment with this mission, we have provided sustained scholarship funding for Camp Palm Beach, specifically to benefit the children of Town employees. From 2021 through 2024, we have allocated a total of $42,500 to this initiative, with $10,000 allocated annually from 2021 to 2023 and $12,500 in 2024. These funds have supported $500 scholarships per eligible child, making Camp Palm Beach more accessible for families who serve our community. Additionally, we underwrite specific facility or program enhancement projects annually, adding features like shade structures, lighting, and technology support. This investment reflects our belief in the long-term value of early enrichment programs, which play a critical role in academic readiness, social development, and community well-being.
