DEAR BLACK GIRL INCORPORATED

Girl Talk - School Based Group Therapy and Mentoring. During 2025, Dear Black Girl Incorporated delivered Girl Talk, a healing-centered program providing group-based mental health support, mentoring, and social emotional learning for youth. The program created a consistent and culturally responsive space for participants to process challenges such as anxiety, grief, self-esteem, peer conflict, identity development, and stress related to school and home life. Sessions incorporated facilitated discussion, therapeutic activities, and practical coping strategies to strengthen emotional regulation, communication skills, self-advocacy, and healthy relationships. Through weekly programming and ongoing engagement, Girl Talk helped participants build confidence, increase mental health awareness, and improve their ability to navigate day-to-day challenges in a supportive community environment.

Heal to Hip Hop - Movement Based Wellness and Community Healing. During 2025, Dear Black Girl Incorporated delivered Heal to Hip Hop, a movement-based wellness program designed to support mental health, confidence, and community connection through dance, fitness, and holistic well-being activities. The program created a safe and inclusive environment where participants could engage in physical movement as a tool for emotional release, self-expression, and stress reduction. Sessions promoted healthy habits, positive body image, self-discipline, and resilience while strengthening social connection and belonging. Heal to Hip Hop supported youth and community members in building confidence, improving overall wellness, and participating in healing-centered programming that meets participants where they are.
