LANTANA CARES CONTINUED TO SUPPORT TEACHERS PAY TEACHERS THROUGH THE TEACHER SYNERGY PROGRAM, ALLOCATING $23,500 TO BENEFIT 158 EDUCATORS AND IMPACTING 2,792 STUDENTS AT PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN LANTANA. ADDITIONALLY, A MEETING FOR NEIGHBORHOOD CRIME CAPTAINS AND A SITUATIONAL AWARENESS CLASS WAS HOSTED IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE FUNDING OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE/LAW CLASS FILED TRIPS FOR 81 STUDENTS FROM GUYER HIGH SCHOOL. WE CONTINUE TO FINANCE THE CHAIR FIT PROGRAM, WHICH INCLUDED SUPPLIES FOR BI-WEEKLY CLASSES OVER THREE MONTHS, SERVING 20-30 PARTICIPANTS PER SESSION; SUPPORTED A HOMESCHOOL SCIENCE ACTIVITY FOR THE RENTAL OF THE LANTANA COMMUNITY EVENT CENTER, ACCOMMODATING 20 HOMESCHOOL STUDENTS. WE ALSO FUNDED A PLAYGROUND FOR SPECIAL NEED CHILDREN IN LANTANA.
