Sycamore After School Enrichment - The Ohio Valley Youth Network (OVYN) Sycamore After School Enrichment (ASE) Program provided transportation, daily meals and classes, as well as community events for children, teens, and their families to support food security, workforce readiness, personal development, and academic skills in Jefferson, Harrison, Belmont, and Carroll Counties. Daily classes provided students with the following opportunities: Career awareness and job skills preparation (Computer Skills, Cosmetology, Woodworking, Community Service). Arts, crafts, and fruitful hobbies (Sewing/Knitting/Crochet class), Young Entrepreneurs Business and Financial Literacy. Positive Life skills and habits for physical, emotional, and financial health, improving emotional well-being and self-esteem. In addition to the classes described above, students had opportunities to meet with academic tutors to directly support their school performance and engagement. Sycamore hired professionally trained staff, who, along with a team of qualified volunteers, provided stable and positive role model relationships for the students attending the program. In 2024, the organization served 1,652 people.
