THE MISSION AND ACTIVITIES ARE THREE-FOLD: (1) TO SCIENTIFICALLY DETERMINE AND DOCUMENT THE BROAD ECONOMIC AND FISCAL OUTCOMES ASSOCIATED WITH THE USE OF INDIAN TRUST LANDS AND STATE TRUST LANDS BY PUBLIC AND PRIVATE ENTITIES; (2) TO ADVANCE PUBLIC AWARENESS AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE FORCES RAPIDLY CHANGING THE MARKET VALUE AND UNIQUE NON-MARKET VALUE OF INDIAN TRUST LANDS AND STATE TRUST LANDS IN THE WESTERN UNITED STATES; AND (3) TO SHARE WITH INDIVIDUAL INDIAN TRUST LAND AND STATE TRUST LAND MANGERS, AND WITH INDIVIDUAL PROSPECTIVE TRUST LAND USERS, INFORMATION OBTAINED IN THE COURSE OF IMPLEMENTING ACTIVITES (1) AND (2), WHICH WILL CONTRIBUTE TO MORE EFFICIENT RESOLUTION OF FUTURE LEASES, RIGHTS-OF-WAY, AND SALES TRANSACTIONS INVOLVING INDIAN OR STATE TRUST LANDS.
