Bottle Cap Volunteer Productions is a company made up of local performers and crew from the theater arts community of Ely (mainly seniors and retirees) with the sole purpose of producing 'Root Beer Lady-the Musical' to educate through entertainment a larger audience about the story of Dorothy Molter, a local inspirational woman who was the last non-indigenous person to live in the Boundary Waters Canoe Wilderness. The musical is based on the book 'Root Beer Lady' by local author Bob Cary. 1. To successfully built community through the arts focusing on incorporating the local elder, underserved creative population. 2. To build rapport and nurture talents in the cast and crew. 3. To share the inspirational story of Dorothy Molter and carry on the mission of the Dorothy Molter Museum and Bob Cary's integral contribution to that legacy. 4.
