IN 2024, WE EXPOSED CORPORATE INFLUENCE IN KAZAKHSTAN'S OIL INDUSTRY, UNCOVERED FINANCIAL NETWORKS FUELING CORRUPTION IN ESWATINI AND EXPOSED SYSTEMIC WEAKNESSES IN THE IRS THAT ENABLE TAX AVOIDANCE. OUR REPORTING INFLUENCED COURT RULINGS, POLICY SHIFTS AND ENFORCEMENT ACTIONS WORLDWIDE.OUR JOURNALISTS EARNED 13 NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL JOURNALISM AWARDS IN 2024, INCLUDING HONORS FROM THE TRACE FOUNDATION, COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY AND THE OVERSEAS PRESS CLUB.

IN 2024, WE EXPANDED ITS CAPABILITIES TO SUPPORT MORE LANGUAGES, ADDED AN API THAT ALLOWS OTHERS TO ANALYZE THEIR OWN DATA, AND PARTNERED WITH OSLOMET UNIVERSITY AND NRK TO DEVELOP A TOOL THAT IDENTIFIES PASSPORT DATA, STREAMLINING VERIFICATION WORK FOR JOURNALISTS.RESEARCH AND DATA: ICIJ MAINTAINS A SECURE RESEARCH HUB OF 40 MILLION DOCUMENTS FOR USE BY OUR PARTNERS. WE ALSO PROVIDE PUBLIC ACCESS TO ABOUT ONE MILLION RECORDS IN OUR OFFSHORE LEAKS AND INTERNATIONAL MEDICAL DEVICES DATABASES.
