During the 2024-25 fiscal year, BootUp PD, Inc. (BootUp) worked with 193 new schools across 13 districts in 12 states. Professional development sessions were attended by 592 teachers, who impacted 39,066 students. BootUp partners with schools and districts to prepare teachers across the United States to teach coding and computational thinking to elementary students. BootUp supports its mission through district implementation support and continuous professional development in which teachers participate in hands-on coding workshops, model teaching, and coaching both in-person and online. BootUp also ensures there is a systemic structure in place to onboard new teachers through the training and preparation of district instructional coaches. During 2025, BootUp employed six full-time CS PD Specialists, four CS Professional Learning Contractors, and two supporting Directors, who hosted 148 PD workshops, equaling 444 total hours of in-person professional development, 201 hours of virtual professional development. BootUp also ensures there is a systemic structure in place to create sustainable programs and classroom implementation. BootUp provided 131 hours of coaching and model-lessons, and 45 hours of additional district support.
