Girls on the Run of Greater Kalamazoo serves the community by delivering youth development programs for girls in 3rd through 5th grade across Kalamazoo, Allegan, and Van Buren Counties. Girls in 3rd5th grade develop essential skills to help them navigate their worlds and establish a lifetime appreciation for health and fitness. In the Spring of 2025, GOTR of Greater Kalamazoo conducted its 10-week program with over 1,057 girls participating, supported by 252 trained volunteers across 56 program sites. The season concluded with a community-wide celebratory 5K event that engaged approximately 500 volunteers and welcomed 1,330 girls, family members, and community runners.
