IN ADDITION, LEADERS FROM HOUSTON, DALLAS, CHICAGO, AND OTHER MAJOR CITIES HAVE REACHED OUT TO UNDERSTAND THE PUBLIC-PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP MODEL. THE MARKET AT EASTPOINT IS NOT ONLY DISPELLING A MYTH THAT LOW-INCOME COMMUNITIES WON'T BUY FRESH FOOD - IT IS ALSO CREATING JOBS FOR NEIGHBORS WHO NEED THEM MOST. ONE PROUD MARKET AT EASTPOINT EMPLOYEE WAS LIVING IN HER CAR IN OUR PARKING LOT WHEN SHE APPLIED.
