In this fiscal year, more than 114,000 visitors (door count) came to The Community Library and/or used the bookmobile and/or used the digital branch (the website). More than 143,000 items were circulated.

The Community Library provides free educational programs to both adults and children. The total number of programs presented is an average of 14 per week, across all departments. This is more than 700 programs annually. These programs include lectures, author readings, school programs and field trips, story times, technology tutorials, a summer reading program, and community book clubs, as well as a 3-day reading summit for early literacy teachers. Many of these educational programs also are available virtually. More than 16,000 individuals (total program count) participated in free educational programming in this fiscal year.

The Community Library serves as a regional history hub for Central Idaho. The Library's Jeanne Rodger Lane Center for Regional History houses a collection of more than 10,000 photographs, 500 oral histories, 2,000 books, and also maps, documents, three-dimensional objects, and ephemera. It includes a special Ernest Hemingway collection pertaining to the author's extensive time spent in the Sun Valley area. It also is responsible for the stewardship of the historic Ernest and Mary Hemingway House and Preserve. The Center for Regional History is used by professional and amateur scholars, students, and visitors to study the history of Ketchum and Sun Valley, and Central Idaho generally. (Continued on Schedule O)In July of 2023, we opened the Wood River Museum of History and Culture as the exhibit space for the Center for Regional History. It includes five exhibit galleries. In this fiscal year, more than 25,000 (door count) visitors came to the Museum.
