AT ITS HEART, SERVERIE IS A VOLUNTEER MOBILIZATION ORGANIZATION SERVING ERIE, PENNSYLVANIA. OUR GOAL IS SIMPLE: CONNECT WILLING VOLUNTEERS WITH EXISTING, TRUSTED AGENCIES IN OUR COMMUNITY. THERE ARE TONS OF AGENCIES DOING AMAZING VOLUNTEER WORK IN OUR AREA, BUT THEY NEED ABLE AND WILLING VOLUNTEERS TO HELP THEM ACHIEVE THEIR MISSION. SERVERIE SATURDAY IS AN EVENT IN WHICH WE PROVIDE VOLUNTEERS TO AGENCIES AND ORGINZATIONS TO PARTICIPATE IN THEIR PROJECTS. SOME OF THOSE PROJECTS INCLUDED CARE PACKAGES, EMERGENCY SHELTER, MASKS, ONP WINTER HOMELESS SHELTER. SOME PAST PROJECTS INCLUDED HELPING A MOM MOVE HOMES, DELIVERING 500 CARE PACKAGES, SET UP OF AN EMERGENCY SHELTER AND EMERGENCY QUARANTINE SHELTER, DONATIONS FOR CLIMATE CHANGERS AND ERIE CITY MOMS, SCAFFOLDING FOR PROJECTS, AND TOOLS FOR HALLOWEEN COMMUNITY PARTY. SERVERIE ALSO HOSTS A TOOL BANK, OFFERING FREE TOOLS AVAILABLE FOR USE BY AGENCIES OR COMMUNITY MEMBERS HOSTING A COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT. THE TOOL BANK INCLUDES A WIDE VARIETY OF TOOLS RANGING FROM LANDSCAPING INSTRUMENTS TO SAWS, AND INCLUDING ONE BOX TRUCK AND TWO TRAILERS. OUR SERVERIE SUMMER PROJECT OPERATES LIKE SERVERIE SATURDAY BUT ON A GRANDER SCALE, RUNNING ACROSS THREE DAYS. SOME PAST EVENTS INCLUDE A NEIGHBORHOOD RENEWAL OF THE AREA FROM 6TH STREET TO 12TH STREET AND FROM HOLLAND STREET TO WAYNE STREET, HOME REPAIRS, COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT, COMMUNITY REVITALIZATION, AND PARK DEVELOPMENT.
