DAI provided training, education, navigation, and technical assistance to youth, families, young adult peer leaders, and professionals throughout the State of Arizona, by way of our overarching Arizona Youth Leadership and Engagement Initiatives. This includes the Arizona Youth Leadership Forum, Arizona Youth Engagement Academy, Person Centered Planning, Skills to Pay the Bills, and peer navigation for youth and young adults with disabilities navigating their respective pathways to young adulthood. 350 youth/young adults, peer staff members and peer leaders who have disabilities participated in, presented, joined and/or facilitated the training and engagement opportunities outlined in this response. 124 Person-Centered Plans were facilitated in classrooms and in AZYLF, 2 AZYLFs were offered/held with 26 AZYLF graduates, 3 AZYEAs were offered/held; 16 AZYEA graduates, 52 one-to-one Peer Navigation services were provided, 36 youth participated in Skills to Pay the Bills in classrooms, and public workshops. We engaged 18 trained youth peer leaders in leadership activities; attended numerous outreach events to disseminate information on DAI, and facilitated several sessions and/or presentations at conferences, summits, institutes, in schools and the community. All youth who participated completed the services they engaged in; success included: Strengthened their self-determination and self-advocacy skills; Utilized their voice as a youth/young adults who has lived experience; Enhanced, sharpened, practiced, grew, and put into practice learned leadership, work readiness, and independent living skills; Created or facilitated Person-Centered Plans; Participated in community and civic engagement, volunteerism and service learning.
