Provided stable housing and a set of House (foster) Parents for 8 at-risk 18 to 25-year old residents #4 young men in our Shaw neighborhood home at 4176 Flad Ave, St. Louis, MO 63110 and #4 young women living with another set of House Parents at our Ferguson house at 1147 Chatelet Dr, Ferguson, MO 63135 This includes providing all needed groceries/food, clothing, household supplies, utilities, computers, house maintenance, personal care (toiletries, hair/facial care), cooking instruction, mentoring, life skills, etc.
Provided reliable transportation (8 cars) for the 8 residents. This includes all gas, repairs, maintenance and car insurance.
Provided Trauma-Informed Counseling for our 8 Residents with licensed, professional counselors to help Residents heal from past issues of abandonment, family dysfunction, abuse and trauma. HE NOW...
Provided Trauma-Informed Counseling for our 8 Residents with licensed, professional counselors to help Residents heal from past issues of abandonment, family dysfunction, abuse and trauma. HE NOW KNOWS HOW TO GROCERY SHOP AND COOK SUFFICIENTLY TO PROVIDE FOR HIMSELF. OUR PROGAM HAS ALSO ASSISTED HIM TO DEVELOP AND MANAGE A MONTHLY BUDGET. ALL OF THIS HAS ENABLED HIM TO QUALFIY FOR HIS OWN APARTMENT ONE BLOCK FROM A SEAT AT THE TABLE SHAW NEIGHBORHOOD HOUSE. THIS GRADUATE THEN COMES BACK TO JOIN US AT AOUR REGULARLY SCHEDULED SUNDAY AND WENDESDAY EVENING FAMILY MEALS WHICH HE NOW MENTORS OUR CURRENT RESIDENTS WHO ARE FOLLOWING IN HIS FOOTSTEPS.
