With the aim to identify and develop local aspiring Black artists to remain in Kansas City Troost39 Thrift Store created a collective of artists is known as The Gift of Troost TGOT. Troost39 awarded $3,000 grants to selected recipients conducted group gatherings for support every two-three months and held an Art Showcase in order for these artists to sell their work. In addition we have partnered with a strong local non-profit organization Kansas City G.I.F.T. who provides such as artists with business education and promotion services.
