The Dempsey Center embraces whole-person care using a collaborative and holistic approach. We offer a full range of support, education, complementary therapies, and prevention resources related to improving the vitality of those managing a cancer impact. In 2024-2025, more than 23,100 client visits were made by a total of 2,566 unique individuals. Clayton's House, a hospitality home for clients and their care partners to stay at when receiving treatment in the Greater Portland area, served as a "home away from home" provided a total of 277 overnight stays, equating to more than 23,450 miles or $72,000 saved in transportation fuel costs. The Dempsey Center provides its services in-person and virtually, giving clients choice and reducing barriers to access. Based on a client survey conducted in February 2025, Dempsey Centers' Net Promoter Score is 89, signifying a standard of excellence in supportive cancer care. All of Dempsey Center services are provided at no cost to the client and supported by charitable giving including grants, corporate sponsorships and individual contributions.
