Life Health and Wellness Center (LHW), including its Abundance of Joy (AOJ) Learning Center, has served over 2,300 individuals, including children, families, and seniors, through programs that promote health, education, and community support. Highlights include affordable childcare for working families, a summer STEM and financial literacy camp for underserved youth, and regular food distributions, including over 550 Thanksgiving meals in partnership with Bridgeport Rescue Mission. LHW also hosted health fairs with screenings, breast cancer, and domestic violence awareness, Human Trafficking awareness seminars, CPR and bike safety education, back-to-school events, and Winter coat giveaways, and gave away 89 bikes and helmets. Seniors received collapsible carts to improve food access and prevent falls. This organization also has a Food Pantry available 24/7 for all to contribute and take anonymously. Through these efforts, LHW continues to remove barriers and improve the quality of life in the Ansonia community
