TASFRL program activities assist socially disadvantaged farmers and ranchers with the improvement of their agricultural operations. The organization actively engages in outreach activities in rural areas to share knowledge of best practices in farming and related business functions, including technology, renewable energy, and natural resource conservation. The organization maintains a focus on its five-point AMOP Program Thrust. 1. Advocacy, 2. Mentorship, 3. Outreach, 4. Opportunities, and 5. Partnerships while building trust in underserved communities. TASFRL has been successful in identifying the needs of small farmers in rural areas and providing links to available state and federal resources. TASFRL is realizing its mission to help farmers and ranchers to be successful through partnerships with institutions of higher education and community based organizations.
