Develop projects to serve our Appalachian region's health and health related needs. First project: raise 12.5 million in capital, and 4 million in operating and endowment funds to build and operate an affordable assisted living facility(ALF) to provide retirement housing and health related services. Our Appalachian seniors average household income is 44% lower than the average household income for seniors in Virginia and 35% lower than the average household income for seniors in the United States. Successful fundraising will enable us to offer assisted living services for almost 40% less than the average ALF rates in southwest Virginia.
