The WNYCFSA serves as a coalition of more than 42 partner agencies, collaborating to provide essential resources and advocacy for farmworkers and migrant populations. These groups, many of whom are undocumented or recent arrivals to the United States, face significant challenges including housing insecurity, language barriers, and lack of access to healthcare and legal support. Our organization works to bridge these gaps, helping individuals and families access essential services while also advocating for equal rights and fair treatment within the agricultural sector. (Continued on Schedule O)In recent years, we have expanded our services to respond to an influx of migrant families, many of whom have been bussed to Rochester from other parts of New York. These families often arrive with little knowledge of local systems, and they face barriers to accessing resources necessary for survival and integration. With this in mind, we provide case management services, including Know Your Rights workshops, housing assistance, school enrollment for children, and legal clinics. In addition to our urban-based services, we continue our outreach in rural areas, supporting farmworkers in navigating workplace rights, health services, and immigration processes.Program Specifics:1. Outreach and Advocacy Program - Our boots-on-the-ground efforts have reached over 5,605 people, advocating for their rights and providing crucial information on immigration, employment, and pesticide safety. We also help individuals secure emergency shelter, food, and basic necessities during crises.2. Support Services Program - We offer comprehensive case management to farmworkers, migrant families, and newcomers. This program connects clients to local agencies, identifies needs through assessments, and develops action plans to support them as they resettle in their communities.3. Legal Services Program - This program assists survivors of labor trafficking with their immigration matters and educates workers about labor trafficking, their rights, and the legal process. We also support clients in reporting to authorities and ensure their rights are protected. Additionally, we provide training to partner organizations and government agencies on labor trafficking and the referral process.
