This innovative initiative allows incarcerated individuals, during their last 90 days in prison, to participate in an externship with private companies that enables them to receive:Real-world work experienceTransferrable skillsMonthly evaluationsEmployer referralsRe-entry resourcesThe goal of the program is to help returning citizens gain stable employment, which is proven to reduce recidivism. True Freedom has partnered with Ashland University to provide employment skills-based certificates and accredited associates and bachelors degree programming to individuals recently released from prison. Through this unique collaboration, Ashland University has agreed to waive all tuition costs and fees above the Pell Grant, so that True Freedom students receive this free.

Prospera Transportations transports Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections prisoners from Ohio prisons to work release jobs around Ohio and then transports the prisoners back to the prison at the end of there shifts. We also transport recently released prisoners from halfway houses to their job sites and then return them. We are solving the employment paradox (you can find a job unless you have transportation, and you cannot afford transportation without a job. We provide transportation services free-of-charges to these underserved populations.
