Our inpatient malnutrition program exists to provide temporary yet emergent medical care for children who are affected by severe acute malnutrition Children who meet the standards of severe acute malnutrition are treated by qualified medical staff following the Plumpy Nut treatment plan They are also treated for general health concerns that are prevalent in children with malnutrition Children are treated on an inpatient basis often with continuing care through outpatient services. Caregivers are given a place to stay at the recovery center as their child heals from malnutrition transportation assistance to attend all appointments advocacy services and all caregivers undergo health and nutrition workshops and have access to both mental health and social work services as well as various education and sustainability initiatives.
