ALL PRIOR YEAR PROJECTS/SERVICES WERE UNDERWRITTEN BY BOARD MEMBERS WHO PAID OUT OF POCKET FOR SAME AND DID NOT SEEK A DEDUCTION FOR SAME. MOSTLY IT WAS DONATION OF TIME WHEREBY THEY HAVE PLACED MULTIPLE WOOD DUCK NEST BOXES ON VARIOUS PROPERTIES TO FACILITATE A MORE SUCCESSFUL HATCH AND SURVIVAL RATE. THEY HAVE SEEN AN INCREASE IN SURVIVAL RATE IN THE WOOD DUCK POPULATION IN THE AREAS WE HAVE PLACED THE NESTING BOXES. PLANTING OAK TREES THEYVE GROWN FROM ACORNS FOR THE MAST PRODUCTIONS OF ACORNS, WHICH IS A CRUCIAL SOURCE OF FOOD FOR MANY TYPES OF WILDLIFE FROM SQUIRRELS TO HOGS TO DEER AND WATERFOWL. THERE HAS BEEN AN INCREASE IN WILDLIFE BEING SUSTAINED AS THE TREES PLANTED REACH MAST BEARING AGE AND ARE MATURE ENOUGH TO PRODUCE ACORNS. THE NON-DISPLACEMENT OF BEAVERS WHICH ENCOURAGE THE BUILDING OF DAMS/BERMS BY THE BEAVERS AND THE CREATION OF WETLANDS WHICH PROVIDES SHELTER AND SUSTENANCE FOR MANY SPECIES OF ANIMALS. WE HAVE SEEN A THRIVING BEAVER POPULATION IN AREAS WHERE THEYVE LEFT THEM UNMOLESTED SO THAT THEY CAN CONTINUE TO BE THE BRILLIANT ENGINEERS THEY ARE.
