The program also included mental health support, access to school supplies, and a school orientation to ease adjustment into the U.S. eduction system. Program: Liberation and Healing from Systematic Racism Led an initiative supporting Black and Brown youth and families impacted by systemic racism in King County. The program served over 40 youth through culturally grounded mentorship, leadership development, and mental health supports, while also providing tangible opportunities for long-term success. Students participated in career exploration, received guidance on post-secondary pathways, and were connected to internships and real-world skill-building experiences. The program also engaged families through multilingual parent trainings focused on navigating the school system, advocating for students, and building strong school-family relationships. Intergenerational events, youth summits, and storytelling workshops further ostered healing, identity development, and community empowerment.
