THE ASH RC DATA HUB WAS CREATED TO FACILITATE THE SHARING OF DATA ON BENIGN AND MALIGNANT HEMATOLOGIC CONDITIONS IN SUPPORT OF SCIENTIFIC INQUIRY AND DISCOVERY. AS A MAJOR INITIATIVE WITHIN ASH RC, THE DATA HUB AIMS TO CREATE THE LARGEST SHARED INFORMATION RESOURCE WITHIN THE GLOBAL HEMATOLOGY COMMUNITY. THE DATA HUB IS CURRENTLY COLLECTING DATA ON PATIENTS WITH MULTIPLE MYELOMA (MM) AND SICKLE CELL DISEASE (SCD). THE LONG-TERM GOAL OF THE ASH RC IS TO ADDRESS THE ENTIRE SPECTRUM OF MALIGNANT AND NONMALIGNANT HEMATOLOGIC DISEASES, WHICH MEANS THE DATA HUB WILL EXPAND ITS SCOPE ONCE THESE INITIAL EFFORTS HAVE REACHED MATURITY. CURRENTLY, THE DATA HUB HOUSES DATA ON MORE THAN 24,000 PATIENTS WITH SCD AND 6,300 PATIENTS WITH MM.
