Abuse Survivor Advocacy-ECA brought together 15 abuse survivors, advocates and experts to Rome in June 2024 to partner with leading Church expert on clergy abuse, Hans Zollner SJ, and his experts on canon law and Church practices to draft laws to protect children and vulnerable adults from clergy abuse and cover up. In October, 2024 ECA brought 8 survivors and advocates to Rome to announce together with Hans Zollner SJ the results of our collaboration and met with the Dicastery of Legislative Texts.ECA facilitated over 15 press conferences around the world bringing attention to resources available to survivors of abuse, educating the public about ongoing risks of clergy sexual abuse, and promoting ECA's campaign for Zero Tolerance for clergy sexual abuse. ECA produced videos, newsletters, posters, and t-shirts to promote ECA's mission and Zero Tolerance campaign.
