Folklight Film Club is the fiscal sponsor for a documentary series and educational materials that aim to understand Paleolithic cave art - the signs left by the first people - in order to better understand our shared ancestral heritage and strengthen humanity's sense of kinship in a global community. This series and educational materials will be made available to the public free of charge via the global distribution of the series, distribution of educational materials via our education partners (including TED-Ed), and an online hub for all outputs (series and educational materials) related to this program. We received grant funds of $2,500,000 on behalf of this project, which was produced by an established film and TV production company under Folklight's oversight and with our administrative support, in the manner that is standard for documentary film fiscal sponsorships. This program is estimated to be completed with measurable outcomes in or around 2027. We received in-kind sponsorship for this program from Land Rover (the donated use of their vehicles) and Aputure (the donated use of their specialized lighting equipment).
