Mission

THE RHODE ISLAND SPORTS UNION, UNION DEPORTIVA DE RHODE ISLAND (UDRI), IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT WAS DEVELOPED TO FULFIL A SUBSTANTIAL NEED IN OUR COMMUNITY. OUR PROGRAMS PROVIDE ATHLETIC DEVELOPMENT AND ACADEMIC OPPORTUNITIES TO DOZENS OF STUDENT-ATHLETES IN THE STATE OF RHODE ISLAND. SOME OF OUR YOUTH PROGRAMS INCLUDE BASEBALL, SOCCER, BASKETBALL, KARATE, SOFTBALL, VOLLEYBALL, OPIOIDS PREVENTION PROGRAM, YOUTH PREGNANCY PREVENTION PROGRAM ETC. OUR OBJECTIVE IS TO DEVELOP AND CREATE OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE YOUTH WHILE PREPARING THEM TO BECOME LEADERS WITHIN THEIR COMMUNITIES AND GOOD ROLE MODELS WITHIN THEIR NETWORKS. THROUGH OUR CURRENT PROGRAMS, WE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO PROVIDE CHARACTER BUILDING AND ACADEMIC SUPPORT FOR EACH OF OUR YOUTH. WE HAVE A DEDICATED COACHES, MENTORS, PARENTS AND STUDENT-ATHLETES ALL WORKING TOGETHER TO HELP US REACH THESE GOALS.
