SEE STORIES TEACHER PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COURSES WERE HELD WITH 500+ EDUCATORS AROUND ALASKA, EACH ENGAGING WITH BETWEEN 5 - 120 HOURS OF CURRICULUM IN ORDER TO LEARN HOW TO ENGAGE THEIR STUDENTS IN PODCASTING AND DIGITAL STORYTELLING. ALL OF OUR TEACHER PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS WERE FUNDED VIA GRANTS AND CONTRACTS. WE HAVE HOSTED THE FOLLOWING TEACHER PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COURSES: 1) CULTURALLY RESPONSIVE DIGITAL STORYTELLING (A 3 CREDIT CLASS THAT FUNDED ALSO TEACHERS TO PROVIDE AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS WITH THEIR STUDENTS 2) ANCHORED HISTORIES ALASKA (AHA), A 6 CREDIT FILMMAKING INTENSIVE FOR ALASKAN EDUCATORS, 3) MULTICULTURAL STUDIES FOR ALASKA TEACHERS THROUGH EXPLORATION OF ANCHORED HISTORIES (HYBRID SYNCHRONOUS AND ASYNCHRONOUS CLASS), 4) A VARIETY OF PRESENTATIONS FOR TEACHERS AND DISTRICTS AROUND THE STATE IN CONJUNCTION WITH TEACHER INSERVICE DAYS. WE ALSO BUILD "TEACHER TOOLS," AN ONLINE PLATFORM ON OUR WEBSITE FOR TEACHERS AROUND THE STATE TO CONNECT. WE CURRENTLY HAVE 175 MEMBERS.
