SANCTUARY COUNSELING CENTER PROVIDES LOW-COST MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELING TO THOSE EMPLOYED BY FULL-TIME MINISTRY ORGANIZATIONS AND ALSO TO THE IMMEDIATE FAMILY MEMBERS OF THOSE INDIVIDUALS. TO ADDRESS SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC NEEDS OF THE COMMUNITY, THE CENTER PROVIDES AFFORDABLE SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS ACROSS DEMOGRAPHIC AND ECONOMIC LEVELS. THE COUNSELORS PRACTICE A VARIETY OF COUNSELING TECHNIQUES TO ADDRESS MENTAL DISORDERS (SUCH AS DEPRESSION, ANXIETY, OBSESSIVE COMPULSIVE DISORDER, PANIC DISORDER, ETC) AND RELATIONAL FAMILY DYSFUNCTIONS (SUCH AS POOR COMMUNICATION, LOW SELF-WORTH, SELF-HARM, NEGLECT, OR ABUSE) TO REDUCE SYMPTOMS, PROMOTE HEALTHY LIVING, AND RESTORE THE FUNCTIONALITY AND RELATIONSHIPS OF INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES. THE CENTER PROVIDES EDUCATIONAL SEMINARS FOR MINISTRY LEADERS AND ALSO FOR THE COMMUNITY AT LARGE TO RAISE AWARENESS OF MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES AND EQUIP THE LEADERS WITH SKILLS TO ADDRESS MENTAL HEALTH CONCERNS OF INDIVIDUALS IN THEIR ORGANIZATIONS. THE CENTER'S SERVICES ENCOURAGE INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES TO BE MORE PRODUCTIVE AND MAKE A POSITIVE CONTRIBUTION TO THE COMMUNITY.
