COMMUNITY EDUCATION AND ENGAGEMENT PROGRAMS ARE AIMED AT DISPELLING MISTRUTHS SURROUNDING DONATION THAT NEGATIVELY IMPACT THE DECISION TO JOIN THE REGISTRY.THE LOPA FOUNDATION SOLICITS AND RECEIVES DONATIONS TO SUPPORT THE LOUISIANA ORGAN PROCUREMENT AGENCY'S EFFORTS TO ACHIEVE ITS CORE PURPOSE OF MAKING LIFE HAPPEN. FUNDS RAISED THROUGH THE LOPA FOUNDATION ARE USED TO PROVIDE EDUCATION PROGRAMS SUCH AS LOPA'S TRANSPLANTATION (CONTINUED ON SCHEDULE O) SCIENCE, COMMUNITY OUTREACH THROUGH EVENTS INCLUDING THE TRAIL RUN 4 LIFE AND KREWE DE LIFE BRINGING AWARENESS TO ORGAN AND TISSUE DONATION.
